Erwan Davon has been teaching singles and couples how to have exceptional romantic relationships through a seminar called “The Pleasure Course” for over 17 years. He is the founder, senior teacher and president of San Francisco based Erwan Davon Teachings (formerly known as Beyond Education). Erwan Davon Teachings provides actionable strategies for the personal growth and development of their clients while enriching their client’s romantic lives.

Erwan graduated Phi Beta Kappa in the field of psychology where he developed an ability to support people in the deeper issues and challenges that they face in their relationships.

Residing in a Zen monastery, Erwan developed a Zen meditation practice which continues today and which provides a spiritual backdrop to all of the teachings he has created around romance, and relationships.

Erwan studied with seminal teachers at More University in the field of expanding sensual and sexual pleasure and began teaching related groups. During this period Erwan focused on sensuality and pleasure which was necessary for his work now in helping others create extraordinary romantic relationships.

A flash of inspiration came to Erwan in 1993, when he was twenty-three years old. He realized that anyone could live their life doing exactly what they wanted. He was interested in the incredible dynamic of pleasure that was available for people through extraordinary romance. With a strong background in psychology and having taught personal growth and development for several years, Erwan launched Beyond Education which became Erwan Davon Teachings. Erwan now lives his passion with his wife Alicia, who teaches various courses with him.

Alicia Davon has always been passionate about supporting people in building relationships.

Alicia graduated with a Masters in the field of Integral Psychology from John F Kennedy University, with a focus in women’s romantic and sensual expression. She was drawn to the “work” of Erwan Davon Teachings (formerly Beyond Education) because of the enormous difference the organization had made in her life and the lives of so many around her. Through the organization, curriculum and community that Erwan had created, she found a means to support others in the fulfillment and enjoyment of their romantic lives.

In 2004, she joined Erwan in teaching the Pleasure Course, and in 2009 they were married!

Alicia has had nearly a decade of involvement in the field of transformation from participant to facilitator, with an emphasis on supporting and facilitating women’s development.
